Reports to Nurse Unit manager/ in charge
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assessing, planning, and implementing nursing interventions
2. Diagnosing common health conditions:
3. Providing appropriate healthcare service
4. Providing health education and counseling to patients and clients' identified health needs;
5. Implementing recommendations from research findings for implementation Referring patients and clients appropriately.
6. Facilitating patients' admission and initiating discharge plans;
7. Maintaining records on patients/clients' health condition
8. Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment;
9. Planning, implementing interventions, and preparing periodic reevaluations Identifying occupational health needs;
10. Making recommendations;
11. Conducting clinical teaching and assessing nursing students
Competencies
• Be a Kenyan citizen
• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Council of Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing
• Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya
• Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
• Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institute
• Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the values in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution.
• Theatre experience will be an added advantage
