Job description:
We are looking for a Driver to transport goods in a safe and timely manner.
- Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions, and managing payments.
- Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs.
- To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and timely pick-up & delivery of goods as instructed;
- Assist with loading and unloading goods on the truck;
- Carry out routine inspections on the car to ensure that it is always in good condition;
- Identify electrical and mechanical problems that may hinder the smooth working of the car and carry out minor repairs and maintenance where necessary;
- Consider different routes, and check weather and traffic reports to decide the best time to travel and the best route to take;
- Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues;
- Book car wash and detailing services to maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness of the car;
- Safely keep receipts for vehicle repairs and maintenance and other records and reports concerning the employer's car,
- Keep a travel log to record locations traveled to, travel time, and work hours;
- Carry out other assignments that may be given by the employer;
- Strictly adhering to set schedules and time to avoid delays and other inconveniences; Abiding by road regulations at all times;
- Any other tasks assigned.
Professional qualifications and experience
- Proven experience as a Driver, at least 5 years
- A valid BCE driver's license
- A clean driving records
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g., at rush hour)
- A high school certificate
