Job brief
The Workshop Drafts Technician is to generate CAD models for project implementation using Computer Aided Software (3 open positions)
Responsibilities
1. Interpreting project briefs and meeting with clients to ensure all technical drawings are completed to specifications.
2. Producing rough sketches and using CAD software to prepare detailed drawings
3. Visiting sites to gather information, and determine limitations and feasibility of designs.
4. Updating software, drawings, and other documents.
5. Ensuring drawings are compliant with regulations and engineering principles.
6. Ensuring product designs meet required safety and structural standards.
7. Presenting various design perspectives for construction improvements and adaptations.
8. Presenting models to clients.
9. Communicating potential design issues to the Workshop Manager.
10. Conducting research when required.
Requirements
1. A minimum Diploma in engineering
2. A minimum of 3 years experience as an AutoCAD drafter.
3. Knowledge of workshop safety and structure regulations.
4. Excellent technical design skills.
5. Good communication skills.
6. A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
