STORE KEEPER (animal feed warehouse)

As Storekeeper, you will be responsible for managing goods in the warehouse at all stages, from the time of moving goods into the warehouse, preserving and storing them until the time of moving goods out of the warehouse, and ensuring requirements of quality and quantity of goods well. 

MUST HAVE: Agricultural or animal science background. This position is based in Tigoni, near Limuru, Kiambu County.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

Storekeepers keep stock of inventory and manage all operations in the store. From ordering, and receiving to managing inventory, these professionals ensure safe custody of all store-related inventory.

 TOP ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Placing purchase orders 
  • Data entry into the inventory management system
  • Organizing and categorizing stock in the warehouse
  • Managing inventory levels 
  • Handling damaged goods + communicating 
  • Receive inspect and record all incoming materials and supplies and fill in incoming goods inspection forms. 
  • Issue and record all outgoing materials from the stores. 
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct daily stock assessments. 
  • Maintain inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies. 
  • Monthly stock is carried out efficiently. 
  • Maintained clean stores + did daily cleaning and fill-in checklist 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Clerk, or similar role. 
  • Computer literate. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping. 
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Team player with the ability to work independently

We are in the process of setting up a facility to produce fermented and sprouted animal feeds for the store will involve managing in-process stocks as well.

Inability to manage incoming and outdoing stock accurately

Location
