Reports to: Quality Manager
Location: Tatu City Industrial Park II, Phase I (SEZ), Ruiru - KENYA
We are seeking to recruit a Quality Control Supervisor to work in our Quality department. Successful candidates will be responsible for, among other tasks:
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily QC activities, including incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and support final product release.
- Ensure inspections and tests are conducted according to approved procedures, specifications, and sampling plans.
- Ensure proper identification, status labeling, and traceability of materials and finished products throughout QC processes.
- Review and approve QC records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Ensure nonconforming products are identified, segregated, investigated, and documented.
- Ensure QC processes comply with: ISO 13485, FDA QMSR (21 CFR Part 820), and GMP requirements.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure proper completion, review, and retention of QC records, including: Inspection reports, Test results, Batch records, and nonconformance reports (NCRs).
- Participate in the development, review, and revision of QC SOPs and work instructions.
- Conduct on-the-job training and competency assessments
- Analyze QC data and trends to identify recurring issues
- Support CAPA activities and risk management processes
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of working experience as a quality specialist or in a related field.
- Familiar with ISO9001/ISO 13485 and other management systems.
- Hands-on experience in training, implementation, and auditing management systems.
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Professional certifications to support professional training in the quality field.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- The ability to communicate in Chinese will be considered an added advantage.
