Brown’s Food Co. is a growing dynamic natural food brand in Kenya. It is well
established as a cheese brand after making premium artisan cheese for over 40
years known as Brown’s cheese. Our strength lies in buying diverse local ingredients
and crafting them into premium food products. Our food campus now hosts a
sourdough bakery, a vegan range, an alternative grain flour mill, dairy, ice cream, a
farm-to-table restaurant, an organic farm, and a living food lab classroom.
The Digital & Social Media Manager will be in charge of managing and growing digital media channels within the browns network including social media. Optimize all the digital assets systems and channels provided by browns. (CRM, Newsletter, Websites, databases, meta, google) You will report to the MD and the responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Social Media
- Develop and manage the content strategy for Browns Food Co. on all social media platforms
- Ensure the content calendar covers core segments on all brands
- Manage all social media content production and scheduling- reels, videos, still images, and promotional flyers.
- Cover all brand areas such as farmer CSR, recipes, classroom, production shots, seasonal specials, etc.
- Ensure quarterly partnerships with relevant content creators and influencers
- Coordinate the right partners to co-create content (category managers, experienced managers, creative agencies, photographers, videographers, and external partners.
- Develop briefs for internal partners (content committee) or external partners (creative agencies, photographers, videographers, and influencers), follow the execution
- Train the content committee so that they create fresh content to feed your strategy
- Develop and action the marketing strategy after the quarterly brainstorming with the team
- Set up social media campaign objectives KPIs, and Page Objectives per quarter.
- Analyse and report ROI and all relevant data in order to optimize engagement and lead to sales
- Proactively identify advertising and PR digital opportunities that align with the hotel brand, and present these to the team for discussion and action.
- Analyse competition, industry trends, and influencers' actions on social media
- Community management and report any negative comments, posts, and DMs to the GM.
- Digital advertising strategy to answer the marketing objective of increasing direct sales by 20% within the next 12 months
- Digital showcase and omnichannel ecosystem aiming to build our brand awareness and value and lead to sales (at OTA or direct)
- Management of all relevant advertising campaigns to reach our business and marketing objectives
- Create B to B newsletter to keep chefs educated and informed
- Assist in retail brand designs for promotional material such as postcards.
- Design retail outlet's fresh adverts
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, and communications. A diploma is considerable with the right experience and digital certifications like ISA, and Google certifications.
- Able to do basic video and photo content yourself for Instagram reels.
- Good communicator
- SEO & SEM and SEA Mastery
- Social Media Management Skills including content marketing Expertise
- Email Marketing Guru
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) knowledge
- Mobile Marketing knowledge
- Analytics Tools Mastery: Familiarity with various digital marketing analytics tools like Google Analytics.
- Leadership and agency management skills, with experience in briefing, and managing influencers and digital agencies
- 4-5 years of experience with proven success /portfolio- digital agency experience is a plus.
- Google certifications are a plus
- ISA a plus
