We are an SME located in Nairobi, committed to providing exceptional pet products, veterinary support, grooming services, boarding facilities, and outstanding customer experiences. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant to join our growing team.

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting books.
- Process daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash books, and supplier statements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure timely invoicing and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Prepare statutory deductions including PAYE, VAT, NSSF, NHIF/SHIF, and other applicable taxes.
- Ensure compliance with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare payroll and maintain employee payroll records.
- Monitor budgets and prepare variance analysis reports.
- Conduct stock reconciliation and support inventory management.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities during audits and compliance reviews.
- Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls.
- Prepare management reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Perform any other accounting and finance duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA(K) Finalist or CPA(K) qualification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, veterinary services, or FMCG will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, or similar ERP systems.
