JOB TITLE: GRADUATE TRAINEE
REPORTING LINE: TECHNICAL MANAGER
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
This role entails
optimization of system designs, maintenance, and operations processes; in a bid
to satisfy all process & safety concerns; building capability of skilled
trades, and participating in short- and long-range planning perspectives with
respect to instrumentation, automation, and controls (safeguarding) systems.
Ensure timely and
efficient maintenance is carried out to achieve optimal utilization of
resources required for operational efficiency to meet set targets as per plan.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a
representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and is not all-inclusive.
Incumbent(s) may be
required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.

Installation, testing, commissioning, and monitoring of the
process control, Electrical, and Instrumentation systems for the Plant.
·
Reviewing electrical drawings, P&ID documents & process
descriptions.
·
Creating and teaching operations staff on Instrumentation and
automation procedures.
·
Ensure effective and timely repairs/maintenance of all Electrical,
instrumentation, and control systems and Equipment.
·
Perform scheduled tests, inspections, and general maintenance on
Instrumentation, Automation, and Safeguarding systems and equipment for process
optimization as set out in the terminal maintenance plan.
·
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
·
Liaise with the Operations team to ensure efficient operation of the
plant and equipment.
·
Ensures all tools/instruments are efficiently/appropriately used
and properly stored when not in use.
·
Log all maintenance activities and report progress to the technical
manager and ensure proper documentation and records.
·
Carry out any other duties as assigned through the Technical
Manager
·
Comply with Safety Regulations, Circulars, and Notices issued from
time to time in your working area.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
·
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control
Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or any other relevant Engineering field.
·
Training in fields such as PLC, SCADA, Industrial/Process
Safety, Fire Fighting, or any other relevant training will be a great add.
