Mandatory Requirements
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Cumulative service period of Twelve (12) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Principal Supply Chain Management Officer or in a comparable position;
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce (Supplies Management Option), Business Administration (Supplies Management Option) or related field from a recognized institution;
- Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration (Supply Chain Management Option), Commerce (Supply Chain Management Option) or related field from a recognized institution;
- Relevant technical and professional certification from a recognized institution;
- A member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or Chartered Institute of Supplies and in good standing;
- Leadership course certificate lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognised institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
