Mandatory Requirements
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Cumulative service period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Principal Finance Officer or in a comparable position;
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution;
- Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Business Administration or related field from a recognized institution;
- Certified Public Accountant (K) or equivalent qualification from an accredited examination body;
- Membership to the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or relevant professional body and in good standing;
- Leadership course certificate lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognised institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
