Konqa Lounge, a premier high-end bar, restaurant, and lounge in Ruaka, is seeking a skilled, passionate, and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with the restaurant's standards.
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and consistency.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety.
• Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management and ordering.
• Ensure proper food storage and minimize wastage.
• Step in for the Head Chef when required.
• Contribute to menu planning and the development of new dishes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant, hotel, or lounge.
• Culinary training or a relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional quality.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences.
