Our Client is seeking to recruit a talented, passionate, and experienced Chef to join our prestigious high-end bar, restaurant, and lounge in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining exceptional food standards, and contributing to an outstanding dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Curate elevated, seasonally appropriate menus
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Plan and execute menu items while ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure efficient use of kitchen resources.
- Work closely with management to develop new menu offerings and seasonal specials.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations during service hours.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' work experience with at least 3 years as a Chef in a reputable restaurant, lounge, hotel, or hospitality establishment.
- Experience working in a high-end dining environment will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
