Job Summary
The Senior Analyst – Advisory will be instrumental in driving the origination and execution of high-impact mandates, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, restructuring, and strategic advisory. This role requires strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical expertise, combined with strong collaboration and communication skills to work seamlessly with senior team members and clients throughout the transaction lifecycle.
1. Transaction Support & Execution
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models for valuation, scenario analysis, capital structuring, and transaction structuring.
- Conduct due diligence and provide analytical support throughout the transaction process.
- Prepare high-quality investment memoranda, management presentations, teasers, and pitch decks for clients and investors.
- Support deal negotiations, review transaction documentation, and assist with closing processes.
2. Research & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth company, industry, and market analysis to identify investment and financing opportunities.
- Benchmark financial performance and valuation metrics against comparable companies and transactions.
- Monitor macroeconomic, regulatory, and sector-specific developments, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
3. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support senior team members in managing client relationships and addressing client requests.
- Participate in client meetings, presenting analysis and contributing to strategic discussions.
- Coordinate with legal, tax, audit, and other professional advisors to support transaction execution.
4. Internal Contribution
- Mentor and review the work of junior analysts and interns, promoting knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Uphold professional integrity, ethical standards, and compliance requirements in all engagements.
- Contribute to internal research efforts, including sector reports and market updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Progress toward professional qualifications such as ACCA, CFA, CIFA, or FMVA is an added advantage.
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, or consulting.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and Excel skills; proficiency in PowerPoint and familiarity with data tools (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, etc.) is an advantage.
- Proven experience in preparing client-ready deliverables such as pitch decks, investment memoranda, and board presentations.
- Solid understanding of capital markets, corporate structures, and end-to-end deal processes.
