Equity Afya is a sustainable, integrated healthcare model that provides quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare using the principles of franchising. The network trains and monitors a network of Medical-Entrepreneurs to provide standardized care. This mission is advanced through a rapidly expanding network of franchised outpatient clinics across Kenya and in the DRC.

Currently, Equity Afya has over 140 medical centers across the country, covering 47 counties of Kenya and 5 initial medical centres in DRC, with over 4.2 million cumulative patient visits to Equity Afya medical centres to date. Equity Afya plans to expand to a total of 1000 outpatient centres across East and Central Africa in the coming years.

These facilities are managed and operated by a team of qualified medical personnel comprising doctors, nurses, pharmacists and pharmaceutical technologists, dentists and oral health officers, lab technologists, sonographers, and optometrists.

The facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to ensure that curative and preventive services are offered at the highest standards.

The medical centres provide a wide range of outpatient services, including Medical Consultations, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Ultrasound, Mother & Child, Health Promotion and Wellness, Vaccination, Dental, Optical, Physiotherapy, Nutrition Clinics, and Chronic Disease Management Programs. Some of the specialist clinics include Obstetrics /Gynecology, Physicians, Pediatricians, General Surgeons, and ENT Surgeons.

Qualifications/Requirements

Degree in Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
• At 3-year post-internship working experience, preferably in a
hospital setting
• Registered and with a valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
• Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information
Systems).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
