About Our Client

Our client, A Home Appliances firm, is hiring a General Manager. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of consumer electronics, Sales, Distribution, and Operations in the retail channel management and after-sales services.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Full P&L Ownership: Manage revenue, margins, EBIT, and cash flow to meet annual growth targets.
  • Growth Strategy: Develop and execute long-term business plans to increase market share across retail, e-commerce, and B2B channels.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing, technological shifts (e.g., Smart Home/IoT integration), and consumer trends to pivot strategies accordingly.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee SKU productivity and inventory turnover to ensure product availability while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Supplier Relations: Partner with global manufacturers and local suppliers to ensure cost-competitive sourcing and quality control.
  • Distribution Excellence: Streamline the logistics network to ensure "on-time and in-full" delivery to big-box retailers and end-consumers.
  • Retail Partnerships: Build and maintain high-level relationships with key distributors and retailers (e.g., Best Buy, Home Depot, or regional dealers).
  • Go-To-Market (GTM): Lead the commercialization of new product launches, ensuring marketing and sales teams are aligned on value propositions.
  • After-Sales Service: Oversee the service technician network and warranty programs to maintain high Customer Satisfaction Scores.
  • Organizational Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead department heads across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
  • Change Management: Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and a "customer-first" mindset.

Qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
  • MBA is an added advantage.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience within the Home Appliances, Consumer Electronics, or HVAC industries.
  • Deep understanding of the appliance "ecosystem," including dealers, contractors, and e-commerce marketplaces
  • Proven track record in sales, distribution, and administration
