Location: Mombasa Road - Nairobi, Kenya (Onsite)
Work Hours: Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A manufacturing and commercial company based in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Role:
We are currently seeking an Accountant to join the Finance and Accounting Team to take up
responsibilities within the team in alignment with departmental and organizational strategies, goals
and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure correct recording of day to day transactions. These include but are not limited to Payables, Cash Receipts, Receivables and Payroll.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual reporting is done on time and accurately.
- Ensure accurate balance sheet schedules and reconciliation of ledgers.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll posting on the payroll software.
- Ensure all tax responsibilities are accurate and completed on time. These include but are not limited to NITA, VAT, Withholding Taxes, PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and Housing Levy.
Role Requirements:
In line with organizational requirements, candidates must meet the following minimum eligibility
criteria for appointment:
- A minimum age of 35 years.
- Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, BCOM
- Finance/Accounting.
- Certification:
- The required certification is CPA-K. For candidates who have not yet completed this
- certification, the minimum acceptable level is Section 4.
- Years of experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a very busy company environment(s) is required for this role.
- Software proficiency:
- QuickBooks (both Desktop and Online), Advanced Excel, Google WorkSpace,
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Sheets, PowerPoint Presentation).
- Technical Competencies and Skills:
- Good Communicator
- Experience in data analysis (analyses data, shares findings and share recommendations with management)
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Ethical judgement
- Personality Attributes:
- Integrity, Attention-to-detail and Team work
- Advantageous skills and experience: The following skills and experience are not a minimum requirement but would be of added advantage to your application:
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry
- Experience in using AREN Payroll Software.
- Experience in people management skills.
- Personality attributes: All-rounded person, Problem solver, Positive Attitude,
- Energetic with regards to how they work and Self-driven.
