Lehem Interiors Limited is seeking to recruit a highly competent, analytical, and results-oriented Female Accountant to support the management of the company’s financial and accounting operations. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes while supporting sound financial decision-making and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records through timely posting and proper record keeping.
  • Prepare timely bank reconciliations, including bank, debtors, creditors, and inter-company accounts.
  • Conduct accounts receivable and accounts payable analysis.
  • Manage invoicing processes and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Maintain an accurate fixed asset register and monitor company cash flows.
  • Support budget preparation, cost control, and budget monitoring by cost centres.
  • Conduct cost analysis and support procurement negotiations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and ensure timely period-end closures.
  • Ensure timely payment of suppliers and statutory obligations, including tax compliance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the finance department's standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor expenditure against budgets and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Follow up on VAT refunds and other reimbursements to ensure timely recovery.
  • Support external and internal audit processes and ensure audit readiness.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with banks, government agencies, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Provide financial insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Must have a CPA K, ACCA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five 5 years’ experience in finance and accounting.
  • Experience in the Interior Design industry or related field is an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Office applications, and financial reporting tools.
