Are you a commercially sharp, F&B-led hotelier with deep financial and revenue management skills? A premier boutique luxury hotel in Nairobi is looking for an Operations Manager to drive growth, protect margins, and optimize property operations.
Key Highlights of the Role
- Financial Ownership: Full responsibility for P&L (USALI), cost controls, budgeting, and statutory compliance (VAT, Catering Levy, KRA, PAYE).
- F&B & MICE Engine: Turn dining, cellar programs, private events, and board retreats into high-margin revenue drivers.
- Distribution & Revenue: Optimize OTAs (Booking.com, Expedia), rate parity, and shift market mix toward direct & trade channels.
- Trade Network: Drive growth through Nairobi/East Africa corporate, diplomatic, and safari DMC networks.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience: 8–12 years in hospitality, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role (Hotel Manager, EAM, F&B Director, or DOSM) in luxury/upper-upscale properties.
- Background: F&B-rooted with proven commercial and finance management expertise.
- Systems: Advanced user of PMS (Opera/Protel), POS (Micros/Simphony), Channel Managers (SiteMinder), and Excel.
- Education: Hospitality degree/diploma (Utalii, Strathmore, Glion, EHL, Les Roches, or equivalent). Finance certifications (CPA) are a plus.
