JOB DESCRIPTION
The Foreman will be responsible for supervising daily construction site operations, coordinating site labor, and ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities and the workforce.
- Allocate tasks and monitor labor productivity on site.
- Ensure all works are carried out according to approved architectural and structural drawings.
- Maintain quality control and adherence to construction specifications.
- Enforce health and safety standards on site.
- Monitor usage of materials, tools, and equipment to minimize wastage.
- Report site progress, challenges, and resource requirements to the Site Project Manager.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers where necessary.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and organization of the construction site.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Trade Test or NCA Certification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in construction site supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and site safety practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
- Experience using site equipment and tools, including leveling equipment, joinery tools, and steel fabrication tools.
- Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
