Fault Management Engineer

Role: Fault Management Engineer L2 CS core

Location: Nairobi

Model: Onsite

Duration: 12 months (renewable based on performance)

How You Will Contribute:

  • Manage software version upgrades and patch updates for ZTE CS Core nodes,ensuring systems are current and secure. 
  • Provide second-level support for GSM, UMTS, and LTE ZTE equipment, focusing on configuration, operations, and surveillance.
  • Implement and generate network configuration scripts to streamline Configuration Management processes.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to meet service level agreements and minimize mean time to recovery (MTTR).
  • Facilitate technical capability development within the CS Core team and L1 engineers through knowledge transfer.
  • Design and optimize network HLDs and LLDs while managing spare parts inventory within the CS Core domain.

Key Skills And Experience:

  • BSc in Engineering, Telecom Technology, IT, or Computer Science. 
  • Extensive experience in technical support or managed services within the CS Core domain.
  • Experience with ZTE Core CS Equipment (MSS, MGW, HLR, STP, IMS etc.).
  • Familiarity with Telco-Cloud or NFV technologies.
  • Experience in designing High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for network projects.
