Propel Outsourced Business Solutions LTD is seeking to hire an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end distribution, warehousing, and transport operations for a FMCG Distributor in Machakos County, Kenya.
The key role is to be responsible for ensuring the cost-effective, timely, and efficient movement of goods within the Machakos routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound, warehousing, and outbound logistics operations.
- Oversee delivery routes, fleet usage & Fuel management and transport expenses.
- Responsible for all repair & maintenance expenses, including sourcing for spare parts.
- Managing and approving all repair & maintenance expenses raised by mechanics.
- Oversee inventory control, stock accuracy, and FIFO compliance.
- Lead and supervise logistics, warehouse, delivery team team and Board Reconciliation Officers.
- Manage fleets, transporters, and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with transport, safety and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare Executive reports to Operations Manager as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 2-3 years’ logistics experience, with at least 1 year in FMCG.
- Strong knowledge of Machakos County distribution networks.
- Experience in managing fleets, warehouses, and ERP/Solutech systems.
- Strong leadership, planning, and cost-control skills.
