Description
Our client, a well-established organization, is seeking a professional and reliable Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles, timely transportation of staff and materials, and ensuring vehicle maintenance and compliance with traffic regulations. This role requires a proactive individual with strong driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to road safety.

Key Responsibilities
Safe Driving & Transportation
- Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ensure timely and efficient transportation of employees, visitors, and company assets.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of equipment or materials.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to road conditions as needed.
Vehicle Maintenance & Documentation
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly.
- Maintained accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and service schedules.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and in excellent working condition.
- Monitor fuel levels and optimize fuel efficiency.
Compliance with Traffic & Safety Regulations
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Maintain a valid driving license and other required certifications.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues immediately.
- Ensure all safety protocols, including seatbelt use, are followed by passengers.
Logistical & Administrative Support
- Support the administration team in planning transport schedules.
- Deliver important documents, parcels, and company assets securely.
- Assist in minor vehicle troubleshooting and liaise with mechanics for major repairs.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Kenyan Driving License (Class BCE).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a professional driver in a corporate or logistics setting.
- Experience driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs and maintenance.
- Defensive driving certification is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent driving skills with a strong safety mindset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
- Good knowledge of Nairobi’s road network and surrounding areas.

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging road conditions.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in maintaining vehicle cleanliness and upkeep.
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety and company policies.
