Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the HR department with various administrative tasks and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR team
- Maintain employee records (physical and digital files)
- Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training sessions
- Assist in recruitment efforts by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Handle employee inquiries and requests regarding HR policies and procedures
- Support the implementation of HR programs, policies, and initiatives
- Assist in payroll processing and benefits administration
- Help with workforce management activities such as scheduling and timekeeping
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Proven work experience as an HR Assistant or relevant role
- Knowledge of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, training development, and employee relations
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Ceridian, Workday, or Paychex
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in MS Office applications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
- Understanding of workers' compensation, change management, and compliance regulations
