- Pharmaceutical Care: Dispensing of prescription and non-prescriptionmedications with clear patient counseling on drug therapy, dosage, side effects, and storage.
- Supply Chain Management: Requisition, receipt, storage, inventory management, distribution, and quality control of pharmaceutical products and medical commodities.
- Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacovigilance: Participate in ward rounds, review treatment charts, monitor and report Adverse Drug Reactions ADRs) to relevant authorities.
- Rational Medicine Use: Promote evidence-based prescribing and cost-effectiveuse of medicines among healthcare providers.
- Compounding & Repackaging: Prepare specialized pharmaceutical formulations and repackage bulk medications as per SOPs.
- Supervision & Mentorship: Supervise Pharmaceutical Technologists, support staff, and interns.
- Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate records on drug consumption and controlled drugs, and compile routine pharmacy reports.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all national pharmacy laws, PPB guidelines, and public health regulations.
- Academic Qualification: Bachelor of Pharmacy B.Pharm) degree from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board PPB.
- Professional Internship: Certificate of successful completion of one 1-year internship from a recognized institution.
- Certificate of Registration as a Pharmacist from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
- Valid Annual Practicing License from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB)
- Proficiency in computer applications and hospital management systems.
- Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and provide clearances from EACC, DCI, KRA, HELB & CRB.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics and pharmaceutical supply chain management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and patient counseling skills.
- High level of integrity, ethics and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must furnish the Board with copies of the following documents.
- Copy of the national identity card.
- Certified Copies of academic and professional certificates.
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae and a cover letter clearly indicating the position applied for.
- Copy of the Pharmacist Registration Certificate from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, Registration Certificate, and Current Practicing License.
- Fulfill the requirements of Chapter (6) six of the Constitution of Kenya listed in Part A.
- Medical doctors should clearly apply for the post as indicated in the advertisement.
