Our client is seeking to fill the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic and operational leadership across different business units. The role ensures operational excellence, profitability, risk management, and scalable growth while aligning execution with the company’s long-term strategy.
The COO reports directly to the CEO and oversees all operational heads across the different business units.
Strategic & Corporate Leadership
- Translate corporate strategy into operational execution plans.
- Drive performance culture, accountability, and operational discipline.
- Lead annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Business Operations Oversight
- Ensure optimal production planning, capacity utilization, and quality control.
- Implement lean manufacturing and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Oversee procurement, supply chain, and inventory management.
- Oversee sourcing, pricing, distribution, and logistics.
- Optimize working capital and stock management.
- Drive revenue growth through sales performance management and margin improvement.
- Strengthening supplier and distributor relationships.
- Ensure brand visibility, maintenance standards, and client satisfaction.
- Manage County Government and regulatory relationships.
Financial & Risk Management
- Drive EBITDA growth across all business units.
- Ensure strong internal controls and risk mitigation.
- Strengthen governance and compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Finance on financial sustainability.
People & Leadership
- Build high-performing business units and leadership teams.
- Implement performance management frameworks.
- Promote a unified corporate culture across the company.
- Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in multi-sector operations.
- Experience in manufacturing and commercial/trading businesses.
- Strong financial acumen and operational analytics capability.
- Demonstrated turnaround and scale-up experience.
