Job brief
We are looking for an agile change lead with the ability to engage people in a transformative digitalization journey and beyond. The candidate will be the driving force behind change initiatives, overseeing the seamless transition of our diverse workforce, tools, processes, and culture, all in alignment with our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in change management strategies and techniques. This position would ideally be based in Nairobi, Kenya, although the Group would consider some of its other locations as well. An excellent proficiency in English is mandatory, whilst an ability to communicate in Dutch would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities
GENERAL
- Get acquainted with Airflo's operations and develop a thorough understanding of the teams and work processes.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business operations in Kenya, the Netherlands, and Zimbabwe.
- Take a vital role in overseeing internal communication and relationship management with all entities.
- Ensure a continuous high level of interaction between the Kenyan supplier and the Dutch receiver.
- Drive an innovation and continuous improvement culture across all the teams.
STRATEGY & PLANNING
- Leverage change management methodologies, processes, and tools to develop a strategy supporting organizational change adoption.
- Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
- Identify, analyze, prepare risk mitigation tactics, and complete change management assessments.
- Integrate change management activities into the project planning.
- Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
- Apply a structured methodology, lead change management activities, and manage the change portfolio.
COMMUNICATION & TRAINING
- Facilitate the design, development, delivery, and management of key communications to keep stakeholders informed about changes, progress, and digitalization benefits.
- Identify and manage anticipated and persistent resistance.
- Create communication and training plans to enable smooth implementation of the strategy; actionable deliverables/guidelines for core change management plans e.g. communication plan, training plan, sponsor plan, and line manager plan.
- Create actionable deliverables for any required "extend" plans to proactively manage risks and concerns resistance management plan.
- Track implementation progress and provide regular reports to management.
MANAGEMENT
- Consult and coach project teams, people managers, and supervisors to enhance communication and implementation.
- Collaborate with other specialists to coordinate change efforts effectively.
- Provide input, document requirements, and guidelines, and assist in designing and delivering training programs.
- Support change management at the organizational level.
- Consult with staff members to identify and manage anticipated resistance.
- Assist in restructuring the staff component to optimize the project implementation.
- Manage and engage stakeholders in the change process.
- Foster a culture of innovation and adaptability by promoting the adoption of digital tools and practices.
- Support organizational design and role definition responsibilities to ensure people have the necessary skills for digital transformation.
- Any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the management.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
- A strong interest and understanding of change management, along with practical experience in change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Proficiency or prior involvement in (complex) transformation initiatives, digital projects & programs, customer experience, or agile methodologies is a plus.
- Capability to influence others and achieve common goals.
- Exceptional communication skills and the capability to build strong relationships are essential.
- Adaptable to work in an international and dynamic working environment.
- Proficient in building and nurturing strong relationships, deriving energy from interpersonal connections.
