Job Description

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations as requested by authorized clinicians.
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the examination process.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment in accordance with established standards.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images and preliminary reports where applicable.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality during examinations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports.
  • Observe radiation safety and infection prevention protocols where applicable.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs within the imaging department.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma in medical imaging sciences (sonographer option) from a recognized institution.
  • Registration with the Kenya Society of Radiographers and/or the relevant regulatory body.
  • Valid practicing license
  • Certificate in computer applications.
  • Demonstrated professional competence and good communication skills.
