Location: NAIROBI
Our client is a retail industry company in Nairobi and they are looking forward to filling a HR Trainer/HR Assistant role.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the training docket at our company. They will entirely be responsible for the overall training strategy; planning, visioning, market research, customer interviews, and product sales output, and constant advisory to management on all training gaps and resolutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and assess training needs within the organization and participate in the activities involved in the design, preparation, delivery, and need assessment of the training and development programs.
- Prepare training modules based on the training requirements/ needs of the sales Division.
- Design effective training programs.
- Conduct individual training sessions etc.
- Provide training and mentor new and existing employees.
- Keep attendance and other records.
- Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement.
- Monitor employee’s performance and response to training and provide reports to the management.
- Participate in organizational team initiatives providing input on learning needs, and developing schedules for training delivery
- Validate training content by creating a testing and evaluation process to measure the accuracy of the content being delivered, making updates to training content as needed.
- Any other duties as may be required by the management
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, leaves, etc)
- Communicate with public services when necessary
- Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
- Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
- Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
- Assist our recruiters to source candidates and update our database
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education
- Degree in Business Management or a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Three (3) years of relevant working experience in a similar role in retail industry and hospitality.
- Knowledge of computers (Microsoft office).
- Retail product knowledge
- Knowledge in Sales Training
- Experience in dealing with sales teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of both English and Swahili languages

MONTHLY GROSS SALARY: Kes. 55,000-60,000
