The job holder will support all country and regional Supply Chain activities and ensure the same is coordinated and executed effectively.
As well as support procurement cycle processes to ensure they achieve value for money, transparency and adhere to good ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft pre-tender market engagement material including but not limited to Expression of Interest(EOI), Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and timetable as per the applicable publication.
- Support interactions during procurement cycle processes, including responding to RFQ queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Support and guide evaluation panels on the evaluation process and evaluation criteria while ensuring fairness and consistency to desist from prejudice toward suppliers.
- Organise for pre-supplier Due Diligence (DD) where it is required.
- Monitor issuance of contracts and Service level agreements and receipt of signed versions back from consultants whilst ensuring that no consultant/ suppliers are engaged without a fully signed contract.
- Ensure relevant key and supporting documentation relating to contracts and Purchases are stored both electronically and physically to ensure ease of retrieval.
- Maintain and continually update relevant registers, e.g., procurement tracker, procurement plans, and adverts.
- Preparation of Letters of credit as per the applicable agreements with Suppliers. Assist the Supply Chain Manager in vetting new suppliers: Maintain and assist in developing a preferred supplier list in support of business requirements.
- Assist Accounts Payable in the resolution of problems associated with supplier payment. Inventory Health and Inventory Optimization (Value and turns)
- Any other related responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager from time to time.
- Provide excellent service to internal and/or external customers.
- Keep customers up to date on the progress of the service they are receiving and changes that affect them.
Qualifications:
- Supply Chain professional with at least 2 years experience in Procurement and Logistics functions
- Proven ability to integrate operational and Supply Chain processes.
- Well-organized and able to manage competing priorities.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commercial acumen and understanding of procurement.
